The best bathrooms and interiors from Australia's 2026 design awards

Three award programs decide which Australian bathrooms and interiors are the year's best. Here are the 2026 winners, with links to see the real rooms.
In 2026 Robyn Coté won KBDi's Australian Bathroom Designer of the Year, Studio Minosa won the HIA Australian Bathroom Design award, and Coogee House III won Residential Design at the Australian Interior Design Awards.

Australian Interior Design Awards 2026
Backed by the Design Institute of Australia and announced in Sydney on 12 June. The Premier Award went to The Forest by Woods Bagot, the University of Tasmania's Hobart campus, which also won a Public Design Award. The Residential Design award went to Coogee House III, interior design by Genevieve Hromas with architecture by Tribe Studio Architects.
KBDi bathroom designer awards 2026
The Kitchen and Bathroom Designers Institute named Robyn Coté of Inspired Interiors by Robyn Coté Australian Bathroom Designer of the Year, for a bathroom of tactile finishes and pecan-stained timber fluting. State winners include:

HIA Australian Bathroom Design 2026
The Housing Industry Association's award went to Studio Minosa for a master ensuite in Brunswick: microcement with large-format porcelain, lift-up mirrors in the vanity, a calming palette and curves. Finalists came from every state and territory, including Mali White Design in the Hunter.
